Just viewed a commercial where it said that online Games were also going to be available on Dish TV.
Online Games would although only be limited to the Dish TV subscribers (of course) and the could play it on a special DishTV channel called PlayJam. Reportedly, people would have the ability to make their own Screen names for playing the DishTV games and they would be teamed up with other players in team games as well. Therefore, there would be no NPC (Non Player controlled) characters at all! Which is actually good.
Teams would be rotated on per month basis and will be sorted randomly. I don’t know the name of the games yet, but most likely, one is Soccer, there are three others I don’t know much about.
This is really very revolutionary seeing that gaming on TV has never been the same before literally, and I have never heard of anything like this. Really an awesome thing to happen, now waiting for MMORPGs to happen so that our dear old Dish networks can race ahead of popular games like RO, GW, WoW, RS etc. Although it is a thing of the future but for the while you can just be happy with MOG’s (Multiplayer Online Games).
Yay for DishTV!

How… frequently has this happened now with DishTV.
Clouds grow dark, thunderbolts strike, rains start and “No Signal” is what our Set top box shows.
Been fed up with this, it used to happen a lot before we got our Dish bolted in place firm, it, however, still happens at times. I believe Dishes should be small and easy to put anywhere as per our choice.
I should clear one thing here, the Dish I have is actually CEMENTED into place. There are no buildings around as I live in my flat-out estate. Therefore my Dish is actually very lucky, unlike most dishes, therefore I am not sure what would be the state of the unlucky ones. Anyways, I hope DishTV releases a smaller and more compact dish, which can actually be bolted enough so that winds can’t deter the signal.
Always be Optimistic!

Had the chance to view Dish Active as a preview, the person who had it said that he didn’t got the full upgrade therefore only the multi audio was available. We gave it a look, and surely it had commentaries in about Five languages! It also had live statistics of the players, for example if Dhoni made a run, it would be added to his career total, current year total etc. almost instantly, really good stuff.
Now I am really ecstatic for it to arrive at my Set top box so I can enjoy it fully!

Ever since DishTV announced all the new features and promised to give them to its subscribers through updates, I have been waiting for it to happen.
The new version would boast of things like Dish Active, which is a service from which you can view a cricket match from whatever camera you like, then there are all these features like Parental locking, event reminding, favorites sorting and much more.
It was recognized that the update would happen on 12th September, at the start of the Cricket Tri Series between West Indies, India and Australia, it didn’t happen though, still waiting.

May 10th, 2007 at 10:05 pm there is no signal on dish tv installed at my home from 06.05.07 and since then we have made numerous call to their service centre but it seems it works worst than any other govt organisation who make all false commitments. On each call they promise that problem will be rectified in another 4 hrs but now its 5 days. They dont have proper redressal system. There is no way you can approach higher authorities, all they make you to do is speak with their call centre employees who have very limited knowledge and are good for nothing if major problem arises.
