9X to launch series on Indira Gandhi
MUMBAI: INX Media’s Hindi general entertainment channel (GEC) 9X is set to launch a series, Indira Gandhi.
Shot in Hindi and English, the bi-lingual series will present the story of Indira Gandhi as a daughter, wife, mother and a leader. "The show will take at least six to nine months to launch,” INX Media founder and CEO Mukerjea tells Indiantelevision.com. “It will be based on the story of the iconic, inspirational and extraordinary lady whose fate was entwined with the future of billions of people,” adds Mukerjea. Former member of parliament from Maharashtra, Uttam Singh Pawar, who has done extensive research on the life of Gandhi, will be associated with the show for content. Pawar added, “I will extend my complete cooperation and support to 9X for the creation of this series, which I believe will be a tribute to Indira Gandhi."
