Activate the Voice Calling on Huawei HSPA modems
Today I will show you another great option to actviate voice calling feature which is hidden in most of Huawei new HSDPA
modems. First of all we need to download a small software to check if your modem suports voice calls. If the feature disabled in factory settings we are going to activate it. Download From Here: http://www.dc-unlocker.com/downloads/get/03FpJrhM After installing run the software and connect your modem to the computer. Make sure that Mobile Partner is closed otherwise the software we just installed won't detect the modem. ![]() In the software there is a option called Voice Feature. It will show Disabled if your modem has a voice calling option in the firmware otherwise it will show Not supported. So if the software shows Voice Feature – Disabled then its the time to enable it. Click the option called Server in the software. It doesnt require any money to enable the voice feature. There in the user name and password fields enter Username- Free and Password- Voice. Now click “check login” and it will login to a free account which allow us to unlock the voice feature. ![]() Now browse to “Unlocking” section of the software and click “Activate Voice”. Now it will unlock the voice feature. We need to update our mobile partner software to a version which has a user interface for Voice calling. By defualt the modem comes with a Mobile Partner which doesn't have this user interface. Download Mobile Partner From Here: http://www.dc-unlocker.com/downloads/get/LihV26NW After downloading, run the file to update your current dashboard in the modem. Be sure to exit all applications and have a steady power source for your computer while doing this other wise you will end up with nothing but a stylish paper weight. After updating close the file and disconnect the modem from computer. Now uninstall the previous version of the mobile partner from your computer and restart to save changes. After restarting, connect the modem again to the computer and install the newer version of the mobile partner from it. ![]() Your current connection profile settings will be lost because of the update. So you have to do this again with your operator's APN and Dial-up number. Voila! now you can use your modem to make and recieve calls from the computer just like the mobile phone. If you like my effort then do post reply as it encourges me to do more good work. |
