The Dish Interactive Channel (channel 999) has started announcing (in text form) the exit of DD-Direct Plus from NSS-6 satellite. The announcement when translated from hindi translates as under:
DD-Direct Plus Service will be migrating from NSS-6 Satellite. Due to this migration the Free-to-Air Channels will not be visible on Dish TV for a short period of time from 10pm on May 31 to 6am on June 1. Let me mention here that you should not change your dish orientation because INSAT 4-B signals will be available to you at 50-70% even in current orientation. A dish software upgrade is likely tomorrow and this will activate the transponders from INSAT 4-B so that DD and other free to air channels will be available to Dish TV viewers. So just relax and enjoy watching Dish TV improve! |

RE: DISH ANNOUNCES DD EXIT FROM NSS-6
No panthera we would not able to see those channels from 15th June. Their comments"Due to this migration the Free-to-Air Channels will not be visible on Dish TV for a short period of time from 10pm on May 31 to 6am on June 1." is because DD will closed their service for this period.
I hope you understand it. We have noi chance to get all channels because our STB is setted for NSS6 Satellite. I think we people shoule wait for 6 Am. Also please enjoy setting at night so we could understood their works.

Dear Dish, no offences to you but a software upgrade from Dish TV is capable of adding INSAT 4B and locking it in with NSS-6. It makes good business sense for Dish TV to get the signals from DD Direct Plus (because even in current NSS-6 orientation test channels from INSAT 4B can be seen with upto 70% strength at night- I have checked this using another STB and attaching it to dish antenna from Dish TV), they would not want to waste transponder space on NSS-6 just to mirror DD Signals. |

RE: DISH ANNOUNCES DD EXIT FROM NSS-6
Well even I tested their channels from Last weekend and I got DD news channel. I suggested ago that Dish tv have to make slice change to get all TP from their new place this will help Dish tv more becaus they does not need Mirror channels for DD DTH+ and they can add 50 to 60 channels easily on new TP.
We should wait till 6 Am so we can understand what's going on. I will upated inforamtion at night if Dish Tv make any changes. |

RE: DISH ANNOUNCES DD EXIT FROM NSS-6
How to add INSAT4B into Dish TV scanning and get those channels too? Afteralll NSS6 at 95 E and Insat at 93.5 E are not far off . being in South India you can get good signal strength from both satellites from one dish orientation

RE: DISH ANNOUNCES DD EXIT FROM NSS-6
Well Dish already made a change on their setting now you just need scan your channels.
You will get 2 old TP from NSS6 (12647,12729) You will get 3 TP from Insat 4B(11150, 11490 , 11570) |
