Enjoy 3G at 2G Pricing @RELIANCE 3G

Well, from my personal tiny-mini experiments, I have got a solution to enjoy 3G affordably via RELIANCE 3G.

What you need ?

1. A RELIANCE GSM connection, 2. A 3G USB Modem, preferably HSPA i.e. HSDPA+ HSUPA enabled, 3. MobileNet29 Paper Vouchers as per requirement.



What to do ?

1. Do a monthly 3G Recharge via E-Recharge of any denomination, say Rs. 97 for 30 days which offers 125 MB.

2. Use the 125 MB Data.

3. After 125 MB is over, keep recharging with MobileNet 29 Paper Vouchers( not easy recharge) till end of the validity of 30 days from the day you made the 3G Recharge.

4. After 30 days, again make a 3G Recharge, use the 3G Data amount and then continue with MobileNet 29 paper packs.


In this way, you can enjoy the maximum speeds offered over 3G Network by RELIANCE in your area as server doesn't recognise the Paper Recharges as a 2G Recharge and your balance will always show as "X MB remaining of MBB_3G Pack 97"

Do not go for Easy Recharge of 29 or 99. Do not even make main a/c deduction based recharges of Packs 5 or 51. Only Paper Recharges of 29 as no other MobileNet voucher is available in Paper form. If you do so, your speeds will be capped at 256 kbps for Download and 384 kbps for Upload.

MobileNet 29 offers 500 MB Data for 7 Days Validity.

I'm using HUAWEI E173 HSPA USB Modem of 7.2 Mbps DL/ 5.76 Mbps UL. My Best result via this method( not during 125 MB of 97 3G Pack but during 500 MB of 29 2G Pack) is :





[ The above speed test is my Best result but my Average speeds are 2-3 Mbps for DL and 1.5 Mbps for UL. And, both DL and UL has never ever gone below 1 Mbps. ]


Check Data Balance :

USSD - type *333*1*3*1# and press the call button

SMS - send MBAL to 55333 {toll free}
