RE: FTA in DishTV
Well price of CAS is not applicable on DTH players and TRAI guidelinse also not allowed high price.

Now DTH working same as cable operator price but DTH players have to pay 50% price for channels which offer to Cable operators. If someone offer 30 Rs per 3 channel to cable operator than they can't charge more than 15 Rs from DTH operators.

RE: FTA in DishTV
I have setup another STB for getting the FTA channels on the Dish network. Right now i have put a splitter on to the coaxial cable comming from the LNB. I have connected one output from the splitter to the dish STB and other to the FTA STB (which i got dirt cheap, local quality, good for experimentation!). Now i can tune the other stb for FTA channels from the dish netwrk.

My queries are this:-
1)There is a output in the DISH stb (Zenega 1004is) just below the point where we attach the cable from the dish. The manual mentions it as a passthru for the dish antenna. Should it be better if i connect the FTA stb to this output.
2) Can i get INSAT 4b (on which DD direct has DTH) signals on my FTA stb (for another tv). I think it can be done since INSAt is on 93.5 & NSS on 95.

any one has answers??

RE: FTA in DishTV
Answer for your second question, yes you can get both NSS 6 & Insat 4B signals from same antena position.
