Introduction
Reliance Digital TV , formerly known as Reliance Big TV is a part of
Reliance communication Ltd. Reliance has started its operation from 19th
august 2008 with the slogan TV HO TO BIG HO. It is also a subsidiary of
Reliance Anil Dhirubhai Ambani Group. It was the 5th Dth service in
india when Launched.

Technology & Satelite
Reliance Digital TV uses Mpeg-4 Digital compression Technology and transmitting
using MESAT-3, 91.5° East.

Currently RDTV has 12 transponder space to its account which is also more
than any DTH provider of india in a single satelite. Its is also sharing some of its Tp space with Sun Direct . It has the best picture clarity among all Dths service providers of india as claimed by several members of SOD.

Value pack : Non south – 109 channels /South – 115 channels @127 per month

Bronze pack: Non south-128 channel /South -134 channel @ 152 per month

Bronze plus pack : Non south -131 channel /south -137 channel @165 per
month

Silver pack: Non south -139 channels/ south -145 channel @ 199 per month

Silver plus pack : Non south 142 channel/ south 148 channel @221 per month

Gold pack: Non south 150 channels/south 156 channels @248 per month

Diamond pack: Non south 166 channel/south 172 channel @298 per month

Platinum pack: Non south 170 channel/south 176 channel @347 per month

So by looking the above package and cost one can conclude that RDTV has
also a very decent package and cost and also more number of southern regional
channels.

In addition to this there is also CINEMA PACK , pay per view movies
,services which is available in RDTV.

HD channel package
As of now there is no separate HD channel package in RDTV. All the HD
channel now available as Add-on expect NGC and Star plus HD* IN Jumbo HD .

Till now the audio output of HD channels is not Dolby Digital .

Conclusion

choice for subscriber to choose their Dth service.
