Response from NDTV Imagine.

I received a response from NDTV imagine, which clearly states that there is problem at the end of DISH TV. They are not ready to go ahead with the deal. Check attachment.

I knew that it was Dish TV who was at fault. Otherwise, how is it possible that all other distribution platforms like TataSky and cable started airing the channel but not Dish TV...??

Not only NDTV Imagine but 9X ,Bindass and NDTV Goodtimes were available on cable and TataSky right from Day 1 itself. Initially Neo Sports and Neo Sports Plus were not available on cable and TataSky but later both the channels were added on TataSky as well as on cable. Even Sun DTH has added all the channels by now. And Big TV is ready to launch with all the latest channels already added to their bouquet. Then why is Dish TV left out in the cold...???

But Dish TV has not added any of them till date. And we get the same answers every day that talks are still on with the broadcasters. I dont know how long does it take them to strike the deal when other platforms can air channels right from Day 1 itself after "striking deals". Its no point adding those chs now as we have already missed a lot and I doubt whether it would be added at all. Whatever new channel comes in is because of DD Direct Plus DTH. I am sure the channel broadcasters have no personal grudge against Dish TV that they wont make the chs available to them.

God I greatly repent buying Dish TV. I am waiting for Big TV. Let it lauch and I shall get rid of Dish TV.

Well I know this is big problem to Dish TV. When I was asked them about it than they reply that they don't want to hike the price.

Well I don't know but how can they survive in the market without new channels

Not adding the chs because of a price hike seems to be a very stupid and immature excuse given by Dish TV. They can very easily go ahead and add the chs and put it into a seperate package just like TataSky. Viewers who wishes to pay more and watch those chs will go ahead and subscribe to that package, others wont. So is definately not a price hike for the people who wont subscribe to the package.
