does master reset delete recordings?

Someone on forum here said that master reset automatically formats the HD but I remember doing a master reset once on TS+ and it didn't delete my recordings (although I did disrupt the reset process in the middle by turning off stb).

Can someone with TS+ or even TS+ HD who doesn't have important recordings try doing a master reset and see if it deletes the recordings or not? Seeing as there's a separate option to "Format Disk" in the installer menu, my guess is it doesn't but I'm planning to do a reset now and don't want it to delete my recordings.
