RE: Anyone Getting BIGTV in Middle East?
yes pls I am also awaiting eagerly on availability of Big TV signals in Middle east, im here in Doha Qatar.
My friends hve Tata Sky here signal goes bad during afternoon and quality is crap not DVD at anytime. So i have to pay for Pehla (DTH) which is okay priced at about 2000RS per month but only thing is that it doesnt hve all channels although I get to watch all cricket matches. |

If you get it then we will help to find solution for you. As from rates if you are ready for 400 Rs then you have all channels which you want. So do check MeaSat 3 signals anywhere in your city and if you getting proper signals then let us know. Free Indian Classifieds-Meramaal.com |

RE: Anyone Getting BIGTV in Middle East?
Mr.Dish the only way I think this will be possible is when the Satellite Dish shops here try it out themselves.
Because how tata sky started here about 3 yrs back, some mechanic tried getting the signals and he was successful but the signal is only about 25% and its nearly unwatchable in afternoon (say my friends). So hopefully they will check Measat 3 signals. The only way someone else here can do it is if they Buy a 2m dish and tries it themselves. Thats really unlikely because in Qatar (due to loss of local DTH businesses) they hve banned Big Dishes (above 1.2m) so the ones available in the market are from Black Market and thus they charge around 10,000RS. So one will only spend that much if they know the signal is coming properly, no point in buying and wasting. But maybe in UAE someone tries because there there is no restriction on Dish's and a 2m dish can cost 5000RS max. I don't mind paying 10,000RS investment because then atleast I wont be paying RS 2000 for month. But hopefully the signals are strong like Sun DTH. Suppose signals are strong I don't think there should be a problem about getting the STB and card because Im sure Reliance will not mind making some extra money (though this is illegal). We can always buy connection, use it in India for 2-3 weeks and then bring it. Like TS, every other Indian house here has TS. |

Well I seen a map on MeaSat 3 official website: http://www.measat.com/images/m3cband3_915.jpg I think you should be able to get signals from it. If you able to test anywhere in your city then do it. Or try their where someone's connection is now not working like ex-Dish TV users. BIG TV will be a good option for you which saves your 1600 Rs if you want all channels. RE: Anyone Getting BIGTV in Middle East?
Mr. Thakur,
According to the beam map the signals reach the Middle East, please try whether or not you are getting it in Qatar. I'm getting the box for Dubai and Iran, the Big TV engineer that came to my house said that it shall catch signals over there as well. So , please try with your dish for BIG TV in Qatar. |
