I am just curious to know that Why the picture quality of BIGTV is better than ADTV,D2H and SD even though all of these DTH use MPEG -4 DVB_S2 technology for transmission.??
Is the transmission Satellite also responsible for pic quality??
Is this due to some hardware or the software that BIG TV uses which gives awesome clarity.
Plz explain the reason for this..

MPEG4 is data compression technique and it helps the carrier to compress large data and thus minimizing transponder space. Here quality of original signal which is compressed does matter. If original signal is of high quality, you will get nice quality even on MPEG2.
In case of BIG TV, component output further enhances quality.

Only providin component out doesnt make the pic quality best,thr r other software issues.And i wonder how many of the big tv users actuallty uses the component out provided.I think most uses composite only(sorry if im wrong)
And finally fyi SD stbs also comes with component outputs,so its not true tht only big tv stbs hv this feature.

so thats why i have also mentioned following thing in my post

I Have 29 inch samsung crt tv
Now if quality of original signal is important.then why the quality of TS is better than dish.both of them uses mpeg2. and i think that the channel gives equal transmission to all DTH.
now here i raise the question whether the satellite is also responsible for quality?
Who said the quality is outstanding?
