According to me packages rates ...are costly ......
Yes these packages are costly....Dishtv has updated its site with new packages.

ESPN, Star sports and Star cricket were available in freedom plus package of 160rs in current pcackages
But now to get these channels ..we have to subscribe for 275 pack(north and south).

NORTH

SILVER http://www.dishtv.in/static/Silver.asp
GOLD http://www.dishtv.in/static/gold.asp
DIAMOND same as above
PLATINUM same as above

SOUTH

SOUTH SILVER http://www.dishtv.in/static/South-Silver.asp
SOUTH GOLD http://www.dishtv.in/static/South-Gold.asp
SOUTH DIAMOND same as above

CHILD (multi Room) http://www.dishtv.in/static/child.asp

Dsihtv addon packakes have been changed http://www.dishtv.in/static/packDishPick.asp
packages rates are costly.
so dish maxi falls in dish diamond or platium i guess dish platinum caz all the maxi channels are avaible in platium except the cnbc pack which is guess is only ala cart now so tht means no more maxi plus and maxi is the highest package and price is less caz its 275 rps/month and guess what colors is added in silver pack so maxi dont have to pay for it
but star one, disney , jetix and hungama have been removed from pack they r avaible only in ala carte
We can say that Dish TV hike the price and it's not good as they break Dish Maxi pack.
How will this effect existing customers ? can existing maxi package can be renewed as maxi or not?
Why Star One is removed ...and added to kids pack? ...what's going on....?
Key points from the new packaging:-

*Concept of maxi no longer exists, b'coz even after paying Rs. 309 you can not watch all the channels like Star One, Disney , jetix and hungama.Cry

*Only Dish tv charging separately for the CNBC pack which is Rs 309+ Rs 25=Rs 334 Still not maxi Cry

* Zee's Dish Tv is trying to hit Star by removing their popular GEC channel (Star One) and is now only avaible only in ala carte.Rs 35+TaxCryCryCryCryCry

One thing to say the least about the new packaging is that it surely confusing and costlyCry

Looks like they are confused on what to do to improve the business and hence confusing and trying to fool the customers.CryCryCryCryCryCry

One clear indication that they are not transparent in pricing as they are again the only DTH operator that are displaying the prices without adding taxes......again trying to mislead...Dish TV bye bye
