as a bigtv user and on behalf of other users i would like to get some clarifications..please contribute everyone..
1.. will the software problem ever get fixed? what are the chances?
2..is the problem due to less stb memory or just a software bug?
3.. will there be a situation that we will be asked to exchange our old stb with new ones to counter the software problem, if its a stb prob?
4..any idea whether next software upgrade will happen anytime soon? any one called customer care to enquire? please post their replies..
5...is bigtv curently using opentv software??
6..will the problems aggravate with adding of more channels? ( i think, maybe thats why they have not added any channels yet)

Well they have arrangements of OpenTv so you can expact same software as Reliance IPTV users using it now and this problems will be fix. Infact new STB comming from this month are better then ours.

Both no. It is because of wrong software design and coding which makes STB slower. It need faster function.

Yes it will be soon as DVR is also comming soon so it needs software upgrade.

Well it is slower because Astro is using 4 TP if MeaSat 3 which will be empty from next month and Reliance will take those 4 Transponder which helps to add upto 140 channels.

Well if you not buy BIG TV yet then better wait for atleast few days as new Koan made STB is coming and We know Koan is reputed one.

Well if you read that HDTV and DVR service article sometime back in DTH new section, they mention about it.
dish does thois mean interactive services are gonna slow stb

BIG TV STB has random problems. Possibly because I was trying it when it was still in Beta stages? However all the problems have since been reported and most likely would have been fixed by now.
Channel navigation is slower, it takes a little more time to browse through them.
BIG TV logo is quite big, although it would be corrected in future.
