You are right! After installation you will never need to call them for 1 years or may be extra days. Their quality excellent

There are members who have been waiting for 15 days , but u are lucky that u are going to get installed in the 7 th day itself..

Well Arshad, lets not even think of Dish TV here, while I took my connection, they didn't ask me for anything. I just booked the conn, they came in 24 hrs, installed it, took the money, just signed on a couple of forms and nothing else. I didnt give them any photos, identity proof or address proof...!!

Go to Menu --> Press Setting --> Press STB Info enter password 1234--> Press Tech. information--> Pree next button you will get the information.

I am from Mumbai. I was planning to buy BIG TV DTH but when I went to the shop of a dealer, he told me to take Tata Sky as he said that the picture quality is better on Tata Sky than BIG TV. Now I am confused. I have few questions. May I request you to answer the same.

Q1: I have heard there is STB1 and STB2 on BIG TV. Which one is good and how to indentify which is STB1 or STB2?

Q2: What is CAM Slot?

Q3: How is the picture and sound quality on BIG TV?

Q4: Is there any warranty for the Set Top Box (STB)?

Q5: What is the repairs procedure for STB or the Dish incase if any of them becomes faulty?

I think that the dealer must be having lot of stock of Tata Sky and thats why he was pursuading me to buy Tata Sky but I have been following this forum for a long time and waiting for the launch of BIG TV. So please give me an honest answer as once I have invested money in one DTH then it will not be easy for me to change the DTH provider again. I have saved money for this because I am fed up with my cable guy. He keeps removing the channels that I like. I don't get National Geog, History Channel, Animal Planet, Discovery Travel & Living, Cartoon Network, Pogo, Animax and many more and he is charging Rs.315/- per month.

I want to teach him a lesson by taking DTH and removing his cable connection.

Ans. STB 1 is best one as it is tested with most of the issue and we are using it from long time. It also has the latest version of software
STB 1 has card and cam slot in the front and does not have optical audio out. STB 2 has slots on the side and has optical audio out
