RE: Bharti Airtel DTH from which satellite ?
Bharti Airtel is gearing up for the launch of its direct-to-home (DTH) service. The telecom major has selected NDS, which provides technology solutions for digital pay-TV, to provide a suite of digital broadcasting solutions for the launch of the company's digital satellite service.

RE: Bharti Airtel DTH from which satellite ?
Dear Friends,
Bharti DTH has acquired 6 powerful Ku transponders on INSAT-4CR. The satellite is placed at 74 deg East longitude. These transponders are enabled with onboard Automatic Gain Control to mitigate the effect of rain attenuation. You may please note the downlink frequencies and polarization: 11470 LP-Hor 11550 LP-Hor 11630 LP-Hor 11470 LP-Ver 11550 LP-Ver 11630 LP-Ver |

RE: Bharti Airtel DTH from which satellite ?
They have hired transponder on Insat 4CR but I think there is some problem in this satellite as it is very short of life than determined by ISRO it is having life span of only five years as most of the fuel was wasted couple of months back when the satellite disappered. So I think they must be waiting for INSAT 4D to launch
