I still dont believe that Dish TV's renewal system has improved. From last 2 months, it has started taking even more time for the package to start after its expiry. The time taken for renewal around 3 to 4 months back was only 4 to 5 hrs, even if I paid through cash to dealer. And paying to dealer was supposed to take more time, because the dealer would take his own time to make the payment and then the package would get activated after 24 hrs. But situations had worsened since last 2 months. My package gets updated after 24 hrs, even if my dealer makes the payment then and there. It was still ok, but last month I was literally screwed up. I made the payment on time(i.e. on the last date of my renewal) and the payment got updated on the Dish TV system after 24 hrs from my renewal date and as a result, 2 days got deducted from my TV viewing as a grace charge. So I got only 28 days instead of 30 days. The dealer said he made the payment on time and it was Dish TV's server problem and Dish TV claimed that their server was OK, it was the dealer who made the payment late. I was at a total loss, since both Dish TV and the dealer were blaming each other. Finally, I lodged a complaint with Consumer Forum and the value of 2 days was credited back to my account in terms of money. So Dish TV recharge system is still a big hell for me. So I have decided that, no more paying to dealers anymore. From now on I shall recharge only via ITZ Cash Cards or Credit Cards..!!

First of all, a big congrats to you for getting the chs so fast on your Big TV STB. Big TV really seems to have a good back-end system that does the renewal in the best possible manner. And the chs came back in just 5 mins....??? Its simply amazing and unbelievable. I really wanna shift to Big TV and dont mind paying those extra bucks, after all cutting-edge services always deserve that., but I cant shift since I already have this hell Dish TV with me and I cant pay for both at the same time. Am waiting for some exchange offers from Big TV...!!

dish tv recharge is also quick if dealer followed the instruction from company. like if u do renewal of ur acount put stb on 662 or 831 it will start quite quickly.

Don't worry your connection will run for more extra days but suggest you to bring BIGTV Cach Card of Rs 500 so whenever your connection expire just need to recharge it at 1800 200 9002 and then call 1800 200 9001 and you will get channels before he says thanks for calling in BIG TV Blob10

Well Dish TV's channel activation problems is famous and you need to wait for 4 to 24 hours. For an example if you need TV5 Monde then you need to wait for few hours but in BIG TV or Tatasky you get that channel before you put your phones. Smile

Yes it is very fast and took less than 30 seconds when he says your Packages are those and can I activate it. Smile

I love such a system. I know one freind who has TS and they also get activation in few seonds. Big Grin

If all channels gone then Dish TV user needs to wait from 4 to 24 hours with STB one while other DTH not need to STB ON. Just start STB and you will see channels same time this is good for new DTH. Only Dish TV have same old system which needs STB on for few hours BangHead

If all channels gone then Dish TV user needs to wait from 4 to 24 hours with STB one while other DTH not need to STB ON. Just start STB and you will see channels same time this is good for new DTH. Only Dish TV have same old system which needs STB on for few hours

Mr Dish , when i first bought dishtv they activated channels in 5 minutes.

Mr Dish , when i first bought dishtv they activated channels in 5 minutes.

We are talking on recharge. If you want to experince it then don't recharge your connections untill channels closed and then make recharge, you will face that problem as my friend faced 2 months ago when CC people mistlken activate his pack with Tamil zone even he is Gujarati and it tooks 6 hours to get Gujarati channels.

Well I know that you are a big Dish TV fan, but dont hide the truth. Dish TV has one of the worst systems when it comes for ch activation process. While TataSky and Big TV takes just seconds for the chs to come back, Dish TV takes 24 hrs for the same job. We need to keep the STB turned on for the chs to come back. By the way, if the dealer does not make the payment, then no one can get the chs, even if they keep the STB on for 1 month...!!!

Yes you are right. Dish TV is famous for its software problems and slow server response. They do not seem to wake up even after the massive launch of Big TV.

And its really sad that they activate other packages than the package which is needed..!!
