I am using SCV local set top in chennai for tamil channels and big tv for other channels. I have attach few screenshots as you can see the difference with tamil channels and hindi channels.

And for mr Dish i have a question . can we watch Hollywood movies via pay per view. I tried calling customer care and asked them to subscribe for me but they said it is not available and it is under testing process only. Please confirm me. Also the movie channels are not changing after 15 days. From 1 sep they have to change the movies but still they are showing johda akbar, johnny gadder ....

Yes English channels are blocked for everyone. Don't worry.

I am from Chennai, Got Big tv installed on 16th (bought it on 10th Sep), The picture quality is very good & so is the audio.

Big TV has the best offer comparing to any other DTH service here, 156 channels + 10 radio channels free for one year plus 32 movie channels free for 3 months. All this for 1990/-

The offer was all 32 cinema channels free for three months. but it was not so, 9 English movie channels needs to be subscribed, Rs60 per movie. Out of this cinema channels not even one is a Tamil cinema channel.

Not all Tamil channels are available in big TV (Raj Digital plus, Raj music, Jaya News, Jaya music, Vasanth TV, Mega, Thamizan, Win, Makkal, Imayam TV & angel TV are not available). Channels like Nick is available only in hindi & not in english.

In my opinion tamil channels are not as good as other hindi channels in clarity.MR Dish Is there any chance of improving the quality ? also will they add Raj Digital plus, Raj music,angel TV .

they are coming with some new pack for south.. so lets see what channels it includes.

yes you can purchase them.. but it will cost 40rs per month.. you have lost that opportunity to get it for one year free.....
ok i t hink still there is one option left.. are you getting all the channels right now?
If you are getting all channels then it will be good if u purchase 200rs card and recharge it and then call CC and check the balance.. if they say 700rs then it will be good and then once your actual package gets activated you can call CC and say that you want 2190/- pack as you have 700rs balance.
