BIG TV STB failed during software update

Hi Mr Dish, MJ786,

Yesterday, I was not getting favourite lists like movies, news. The only options was there TV Channels, Radio Channels.
As few days age the issue was resolved by software update, so I did it yesterday too.
software update completed successfully, now the STB IS restarting continously. There is nothing ou the screen now. When I power ON it, red light comes then red with litte green and orange then green. This thing continues in loop.

Any Ideas?
Meanwhile I have called the CC Thanks

Well if you able to open STB's menu then restore your STB. So you will be able to get last version software.

Ok then contact your local ISP who installed your connection or call CC so your problem will be solved as soon as possible.

Better get it done by the techincal staff before they launch officially or else they might get busy with other installations

Even I have that Idea and I am already worried about it Thats why i called up testerday itself

i had said yesterday big tv reciver is a west of money the stb is looking good but the quality isnt looking good of it...(my views only) remote looks like a remote of a local dth(delhi mad type)

No problem like that buddy, the issue is not with the hardware of the STB, it looks good, much better than of Dish Tv. its the issue with the Software.

Sometimes its repond very slowly while channel changing opening EPG like its freezed.

Yes, it started raining heavily during software update, so I think software properly not loaded

No issues, they have good coustomer care, I logged a complaint yesterday at around 10 PM, got a call for visit one hour ago and they are coming in evening according to my convenience.

See how good is the service.

in Dish TV they do not respond within 48 hours at all

Well continuing with the issue....

One engineer came yesternight st 9 PM around as it was rainging hard.

He tried to update the software of the STB with his codes(presiing few buttons together). They call it hard software update.

However the issue was there, so they are repalcing my STB today.
