RE: c-band channel list
DVB stands for Digital Video Broadcasting. For C band you can use 90cms but will get only few channels. If you want more channels then go for atleast 6 feet. What is your location?

RE: c-band channel list
There are many FTA Indian channels, but all are catered on various satellites - Insat2E/3B/4A, Asiasat 3S, Intelsat 7/10, Thaicom. So by 1 dish+LNB you can only watch from any one of them. Or other option is motorised dish but that's complicated & need motor program & driver.
On these satellites you can get Hindi News channels, Music channels, Regional channels, Zee Smile, ETV (Northern). Check what matches your interest

Thanks sandy, well the dish which i saw has facility to fix two LNB,since STB has two slots for cable in & cable out,so how to connect 2 LNB's to one STB suppose one LNB is use for KU-BAND(DD DTH) suppose i want to view c-ban channels then should i remove the ku-band cable and insert c-band cable in cable in,since i am a layman i would oblige from members to clarify.

Signal from 2 LNB's can be given to STB via a device called DiSEqC (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Diseqc), which can take signals from 2 or 4 LNB's and feed it to 1 STB, but for these STB should also support DiSEqC. I don't know where DiSEqC are available in India, but you may be knowing

RE: c-band channel list
Diseqc are easily available. It is very common. Only 8 input diseqcs are little hard to find but that too not impossible. For you to get all the Indian channel satellites you need atleast 2-3 dishes in various directions if you want all the Indian channels. See the Lyngsat and decide what channels you want and what are the satellites. Some might help you here Smile Most of the Telugu channels are at Insat 4A. Don't forget that only FTA are possible.

There are lot of bands like L, S, C, Ku, Ka and so on. Of that there are tv tranmissions in C & Ku. Worldspace radio is in L and few tv channels are in S band.

Picture quality depends upon the commpression they use. Ku & C doesn't matter. Normally those FTA channels in C band are little better than they are in DTH. This is because of too much compression in the dth.

Yes in other countries too they use small dish like 60cms and even 30cms for DTH and Ku receptions.
