I am a resident of Laxmi Nagar, East Delhi. My area cable operator charge Rs. 150 per month for cable tv & suddenly they charge Rs. 250 per month. They did not give good quality transmission. When I regularly complaint him they cut my cable connection.
No other cable operator give me cable connection due to agreement between cable operators. So, pls suggest how I can register complaint against the operators. Also give me the complete address of the complaint center. Thanks & Regards Sanjay Rastogi |

RE: Cable Operator highly charge for cable tv
Hi All,
I am having the same problem as I am resident of Magarpatta City Pune and they are charging 350 PM for Cable. I guess TRAI has issue minimum and maximum charges for cable operator which can be to customer. Max they can charge 260 PM (not sure). Please advise me how to act on this. Rgds Amit |

RE: Cable Operator highly charge for cable tv
Well you can get in touch with the Consumer Forum. Anybody who pays for a product and deserves a service in return is a customer or consumer. When the consumer does not get the required service or if its not upto the mark, then they can approach the person from whom they expected the service. If they turn deaf ears, then you can definately approach the Consumer Forum. Please call 1800-11-4000. This is a toll-free no and is accessible from all BSNL/MTNL landlines and mobiles. Go and fight for your right !
And do keep us posted. Some dreams do come true and one of my major dreams is to see most of the International chs in India . . . |

RE: Cable Operator highly charge for cable tv
Simply tell the Cable Operator that he cannot charge more than Rs.260. If he still doesnt listen, simply approach Consumer Forum.

RE: Cable Operator highly charge for cable tv
No need to go for consumer forum, might you don't have time to do legal processing. Better take any dish tv like tata sky, big tv, dish tv and enjoy yourself.
