DD SPORTS a failure in Olympic coverage

DD sports' coverage of olympic events was not satisfactory, they did not showed events fully , before ending an event, they skipped to another events. also they were parroting some shows. more over when the original official eng. commentary was available for free they were giving hindi commentary which was very boring. i noticed that they gave commentary some other events when another event is transmitted thru the television.

why cant they give a professionalism in broadcasting , why don't they mind the sports lovers here ?

Well they never did show it fully. Half of time we would see two host chatting there. One in Hindi and other one in English.

Now we have new brodcaster ESPN from 2010 winter Olympics.

I think DD was very unprofessional in Olympics telecast . They should take lessons from NBC (official broadcaster) or BBC.
BBC in UK had 3-4 dedicated streams on DTT & DTH which could be selected through interactive service. Also BBC provided Text information about all sports schedule, results & Medal tally (and was updated real-time).
DD now having a digital DTH service, yet lagged the professionalism , and no wonder why India performed badly in all previous olympics .
Hope ESS would raise the standard of Olympics broadcast in India

Yes ESS have 3 channel option of Star Sports, ESPN and Star Cricket and they will use all 3 channels correctly.

please don't blame doordarshan only . should blame government . they not allot proper money ,man power and technical needs to doordarshan......



but bbc is financially richer and rich in man power and technical.....

Well they have everything there and they have same feed as other brodcaster in the world but most of time they are showing chat between two hosts which suck.

really, atleast they transmit the feed they get from the official broadcasters without any extra fittings.

Yes you are right and most of world Brodcaster use it but not DD.
