Dish Antenna Alignment procedure

Hi Sumedha,

Last week I fixed a new dish & Then I got few problems..
For HBO I got at about 53% signal level.. At the same time for DD Channels signal level was 28%.. Then I rotate the LNB slowly. When the signal level increase for DD channels, there was a drop for other channels (HBO)...
Can U tell me a easy way to locate all beams for maximum strength.

Hi Sumedha.
You said you're getting mare than 70% signal level.
But I'm only getting a range around 52 - 62% near Colombo.
And so many times I check my dish & this is the best position I can get all the frequencies. I'm using 64cm Eurostar dish.
So waht do you think ?

This depends of transponder you are accessing. Some transponders I get more than 80% signals. for some I get more than 70 % and channels like ESPN, star Cricket, HBO, I have something around 66%. This is not rocket science but you need to keep in mind this. 1mm change in your dish focus is a bigger change when it goes to the sky.

Now way in Sydney you can receive Indian DTH.
Ruled-out. You are in the other hemisphere boss!

So sorry brother. There is no way that you can get Dish TV signals from Sydney. It's too far. Check out the below map for cut off areas.

If I switched on my Zenega CD-1006S receiver,it working 10 seconds normally.But After 10 seconds "Call to customer care" Massage come to screen.Then i can't do any thing.It can only switched off.Any body knows how to correct that problem.Please help me.(Iam not get pay channels.only I show FTA channels.I not pay to Dish tV)

I don't think Dish TV allows you to see FTA channels using the Dish TV STB, unless you are a paid customer. That's why they have introduced the "Dish Freedom" package. Someone correct me if I am wrong !

If someone has old software they can view DDD+ channels without paying DISH company. My neighbour doesn't have a VC, old software and enjoys the freedom without DISH FREEDOM....its all new software bugs us.
