CONSUMERS BEWARE
Consumer Online Resource & Empowerment (CORE) Centre http://www.core.nic.in was launched by Consumer Coordination Council on March 15, 2005, with the support of the Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food & Public Distribution, Department of Consumer Affairs, Government of India, with the objective, (among other things), of helping the Consumers, to resolve their complaints relating to Defective Goods & Products and Deficiency in Services. The procedure followed by CORE Centre in this regard is to forward the complaints to the concerned Organization, with a request to respond to the complaint, within 15 days. While most of the Organisations respond within this period, (provide link) some of them take a longer time. In such cases a reminder is sent to them requesting them to respond within another 15 days. Regretfully, some Organisations do not respond even within the extended period. Nevertheless, one more last chance is given to such defaulting Organisations to respond to the complaint within another 15 days, warning them that their names would be included in a list of Brands not Friendly and not Caring for Consumers posted on our Website, as an Organisation which does not respond, despite ample opportunity being given to them, to resolve the complaints of Consumers. Response to Consumer Complaints and resolving them promptly should be a primary concern of all responsible Organisations who are providers of Goods & Services. It is indeed unfortunate that some Organisations do not follow this basic requirement, which forces Consumers to seek redressal of their grievances through Consumer Courts involving unnecessary litigation & expenditure to them. We are therefore regretfully forced to include the names of such Organisations in a list “Brands not Friendly and not Caring for Consumers” to enable the Consumers to be “Beware” of these Organisations. Accordingly, we publish below a list of Organisations who have not responded and cared to redress their grievances to the Complainants brought to their notice by CORE Centre. S. It also means that Sun Direct too is the best since they are not enlisted in the list. So just because Dish TV's name is not there does not mean that the company is No : 1. Anyways, we all know the performance of Dish TV. Some dreams do come true and one of my major dreams is to see most of the International chs in India . . . |

Vodafone, Tatasky, Sify top most consumer unfriendly list CONSUMER-COMPLAINTS (BUSINESS,COMMERCIAL) Created on : 08/18/2008 06:26 PM (PRI) New Delhi, Aug 18 (PTI) Leading telecom firm Vodafone, DTH major TataSky and internet service provider Sify have topped the list of most consumer unfriendly companies in India. According to a list of "Brands not Friendly and not Caring for Consumers" by the Consumer Online Resource & Empowerment (CORE), as many as 11 companies have not responded and cared to redress grievances brought to their notice. The list is topped by Vodafone with 210 complaints against it and no replies and no resolution to any of the complaints. It is followed by TataSky and Sify Broadband & Online Shopping with 45 complaints registered against each and none resolved. "While replying to our emails most of the companies say that they will respond soon, but they never turn up," Core Centre Manager (complaints) S Yadav told PTI. The list also inlcudes, Air Deccan with 10 complaints against it, Sahara City Homes (11), Club Mahindra Holidays (17), Discount Premium Club (6), Omaxe Developers (6), Vian Infrastructure (2), Sterling Resorts (2), and Indigo Airlines (15). "Air Deccan and Club Mahindra have said they will reply in 10-15 days...In case even after their respective reply if the complainants are unsatisfied, we suggest them to go for consumer court for redressal," he said. Among the 11 companies, only Air Deccan had replied to five of the complaints lodged against it by consumers, according to the CORE list. PTI |

Just see this current news flash appeared today, also states the same thing and as per difinetly they have done survery for all telecom and DTH company and the result is here..... TATA SKY and VODAFONE are most consumer unfriendly.
