Ladies and Gentlemen,

Please stop copying articles from the Dialog TV Blog. Every article about Dialog TV is from there, and those are what you copy and paste.

Lets post our concerns. Lets post out problems. Lets post our benefits. Lets post our information.

Lets share and build up Dialog TV. Not borrow from other places.

Of course we need to interact with other blogs around us. We need to support them. But we don't need to relay their articles when we can make our own.

Lets start discussing in true FORUM style today!


THINGS TO DO

1. Stop reposting articles from other blogs where unnecessary
2. Correct the forum name to "Dialog TV" or "Dialog TV (Sri Lanka)".
3. Get the channel list updated. (Techno Guy is confirmed NOT returning)
4. Stop discussing other Sri Lankan DTH services here. Keep a seperate forum for those.
5. Keep this forum updated about new channels, etc.
6. Post your problems and solutions in this forum.
7. Invite other Dialog TV users to register on SoD and join us.

First of all you must know, most of these articles are available in other sites as well.

Dialog TV Blog most of the times copy these articles from other sites or from other members.

There is no rules say that we should not copied from other sites or Blog. The information or data are the most important thing. We are not utilising these information to the business purposes.

We can't give credit to Dialog TV Blog because most of the articles appeared in that Blog are are from some other sites or from the member's site.

In this subject, already so many post are done in the past. You are new member. Please go & read those thread.

How Mr.Dish has forgotten those threads?

I've been viewing the Dialog TV Blog since its inception and I know it is currently the main unofficial source of information about Dialog TV. They do not copy articles from anywhere else, because there is nowhere to copy good articles from.
So the articles are compiled by the admin of the Dialog TV Blog. And then certain members here copy articles from there.

I agree, there is no rule against copying articles to this forum. It was OK to do that before. But now we should concentrate on updating this forum ourselves. Come on, we can inform each other ourselves. We no longer need to copy articles from somewhere else. It's time to make our own articles.

This forum is in no way a competition to Dialog TV Blog. Instead it is yet another information source about Dialog TV which I hope to develop with the help of members here.
Maybe we post information faster than the blog. Maybe we are slower. Maybe our articles are less quality than that of the blog. Maybe they are better. But we should not focus on comparing the two information sources. We should develop this forum for our benefit, not for competition.

I may be a new member in the sense of registration, but I've been watching this forum and other cable/sat TV forums (including Dialog TV Blog, as I said before) for over a year now. So I know what it's like. I just stepped up to try and give a boost to our Save On Dish - Dialog TV forum.

For example, Dialog TV Blog copy some articles from CITYHITS website pages. Sameway they repeated some newspaper articles. I can give some more example.

But, we should not discuss about other Blogs here. Therefore, I will not make any more comment about other Blogs here.

But, come to your point, yes, I too agree with you that now we should concentrate on updating this forum ourselves.

But, most of members here are interested on Indian market including myself. I normally provide dialog DTH information to compare with Indian DTH operators. Therefore, at the end, to see some improvement on DISH TV & SUN DTH.
