Its no more possible to use GPRS/EDGE & 2.75G network free anyway. Now almost all leading companies including bharti airtel, vodafone In, idea have improved there charging structures. My company is providing solutions to some of these companies.
Why you wont get free GPRS anymore?
Because of advanced charging solutions, now companies are charging for GPRS/EDGE on basis of access point name which you cant change as successful network connection is possible only with correct access point name. So change in proxy, network settings, using different browsers by customer end wont work anymore. Whenever you will just connect to 2.5/2.75G network for data transfer, you will be charged immediately & accordingly. Because of our advanced solutions, its now possible for companies to offer flexible non rental GPRS plans along with daily/monthly rental plans. Very rarely, you could get free service because of error in registration of charging system.
Because of advanced solutions, its now possible for companies to activate & deactivate services instantly.

As we all are discussing on GPRS/EDGE, I would like to give you one news which is unfortunatly bad. Leading cellular companies are on the way to stop unlimited GPRS/EDGE services. Unlimited GPRS plans wont be available anymore. Vodafone has already shutted off these type of plans. Airtel & Idea will follow same in phase manners. From now you will have to pay for each byte of data transfer on your cellphone. This is because 3G services by private operators are on the doors & 3G is going to replace 2.5/2.75 which is currently being used by companies.

Yes , It does work on N95 and N85, infact on all N-series mobile. But the problem is nothing is for free, you get charged for this.
