RE: hindi hai hum on real tv channel
Introduction
North v/s South

Local v/s International

Provincial v/s Urban

Namaste v/s Handshake

Bhaasha v/s English

The list of differences in our homeland, India, is sometimes endless. But Young India is striding confidently into the future, throwing out the baggage and changing the old order. The New India is unashamed, unabashed about its past and keeps the faith in the melting pot called India that unites us all despite differences in language, community, geography, ideologies and religious beliefs.

We see this new India through the eyes of ‘Bubbly’ and the many diverse characters, in the wittily scripted drama, Hindi Hai Hum. Playing the character of the irrepressible Bubbly in this heartwarming show is the talented young actress Ridhi Dogra, who makes her debut in fiction with this show.

Bubbly Tripathi is a provincial girl, living happily with her family in the town of Nahaan, situated in the state of Uttaranchal. Doted on by her father Brijeshwar, Bubbly has grown up believing that Nahaan is her world. But Bubbly’s ambitious mother, Kamla, believes otherwise – Kamla has always wished a different life for her 2 daughters. She has imagined a world of the super rich as portrayed in her favorite serials on TV for them. Nothing will satisfy Kamla more than seeing Bubbly married to an English speaking groom living in a big house, in a big city, far from Nahaan. Kamla believes those who ‘think English, Speak English’ are ahead in life.

Bubbly comes to Mumbai to learn English where she meets people from different walks of life, who are unhappy with their individual India’s. They believe that learning English will provide them with the sophistication required to deal with their challenges in life and enable them to escape from their world and build a better life – whether that means marrying a foreigner and settling abroad or getting a job in a multinational.

Their journey begins at Perreira's English Speaking School, a journey of inner conflict and confidence building, where through happy coincidences, they learn that their biggest advantage is being Indian. The uniqueness of India transforms and touches everything – even English is spoken in India in a unique way influenced by our regional languages.

Hindi Hai Hum is a story that brings the underlying theme of unity to the forefront and as the story reaches a critical point, each character is faced with the choice of staying united with their common cause or going their own way. Finally, they all come together, like the different parts of India, with a resurgent confidence and fight a united battle to come out victorious.

Proud to be Indian – Hindi Hai Hum!

Produced by Swastik Pictures.

LIVE AND LET LIVE. LOVE YOU ALL.
