how to unscribe from airtel dth? does anyone know

i have sub. for airtel dth . it is the worst dth I want to unsub. does anyone know how? and what is the refund period? less than 3 months?

1)
I took the airtel dth about 2 weeks back, they assured me it world be installed in a days time but it has not been installed till date. when I called up the dealer he said I have to give a call to airtel on doing so they say only the dealer can schedule an installation at his discretion

The dealer had charged Rs 2000/- for the settop box, whereas the actual cost is about 500 less, when I inquired I was informed that all new subscriptions have to take the Rs 99/- pack for a year and they can use top ups for adding more channels - the catch- that package contails mostly free to air bogus channels and we have to add topups hence pay more...

I have not opened the settop box but I noticed the cover was quite worn out, don't know its the handling or its an old stock, anyways it speaks loads about the company.
hence I would like to return the settop or whatever it is that the dealer had handed me! and get a better dth from a good company maybe tata sky or big tv.
please tell me how to do this with the minimum mess.
the dealer had said that since it's a new dth service the have a take back period of 3 months or so and as he is also dealing in tatasky and big tv there would be no problem... now he is saying there is a strick at airtel in engrr. division & some such tales... so it will take time.
so I request you all forum members to help me in this regard. All your help, advice and suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Since you want to return your STB, I guess you will have to negotiate with the dealer. But I dont think the dealer would take it back. But you can ask him to exchange it for TS or Big TV..!!

Well I also opted for Airtel Digital TV and am well satisfied with it...with each procedure...and I find it more value-worthy that TS Dish or Big..

Well I got it installed within 12 hr of my purchase of STB. I opted for Rs2500/-package(Gold/Mega) which is 113 channels free for next six months.
The same packege u can't get on Dish Tv and u'll have to pay Rs375/- if u go for Tata Sky. So it's quite cheaper, excellent sound & Video quality.
yaa although i had to fly shop to shop to get STB for around five days..

Well i suggest to u give one more think to it since it is the best deal of the current competitors.

though airtel hardware and software is excellent... packages are not that great... its much more costlier than what im getting it in big tv.

AIRTEL DTH has just started. Just give time for AIRTEL DTH to settle down. One should not be dissattisfied with any DTH so quickly without giving time for it to settle down. AIRTEL DTH, RELIANCE BIG TV DTH work on Mpeg4 technology. So AIRTEL DTH, RELIANCE BIG TV DTH are the best buys. Do not go in for TATA SKY DTH which works on Mpeg2 technology. Do not go in for DISH TV DTH as well as it also works on Mpeg2 technology. So choose betwen AIRTEL DTH, RELIANCE BIG TV DTH.

Ask the dealers to exchange with Bigtv
Go for Bigtv...The packages are good than any operator
