India-Sri Lanka ODIs live on Ten Sports
Following their 2-1 loss in the Test series, India will be thirsting for revenge when they take on hosts Sri Lanka in the five-match One Day International series starting at Dambulla on Monday, August 18.
And Ten Sports, the most watched sports channel in the Sub-continent, will be at the Emerald Isle to cover live and exclusive what promises to be an engrossing series. The first two matches of the series are to be played as day matches in Dambulla, followed by three successive day-night matches at the R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo. The second match is on Wednesday, August 20, followed by matches on August 24, 26 and 29. Live coverage of the Dambulla matches will start at 10 AM IST, while the day-night ties will start at 2.30 PM IST. All the matches will be preceded by Straight Drive, the analysis programme featuring Sanjay Manjrekar and other guests. Straight Drive will make a return during the innings break, and at the end of each match. Mahendra Singh Dhoni returns as captain of the Indian team, and his immediate job would be to ensure his team handles the twin spin threat of Sri Lanka – Muttiah Muralitharan and Ajantha Mendis – better than they did at the final of the Asia Cup. India will feel the absence of Sachin Tendulkar, who pulled out of the series with an elbow injury, but will be buoyed by the form of Yuvraj Singh, who scored a scintillating century in the only warm-up match before the ODIs. Sri Lanka, on the other hand, will go in with the confidence of winning the Test series and dominating the famed Indian batting line-up for most part of the three Test matches. They also enjoy an upper hand against India at home, having won 19 matches and lost only nine in the 34 times the two teams have squared up on Lankan soil. source : http://www.indiantelevision.com/release/...grel54.php |
