My Big Tv connection is working fine
Excellent picture & sound..........
but one prob.i.e. my STB is getting slight current(static) on the body Except the front panel which is also getting detected by tester
I checked all the earthing frm main point everthing is ok....
While in standby thereis no static current onthe STB body .
the static current is emitting frm the A/V & Component input of My TV

I've heard that its a common prob. in all new 29"CRT TV sets (frm all brands)from the LG service & even frm many of my frnds & many small Tv repairers
Even the DVD player r getting that current...

Plz ....guys is there any way by which the leakage of current may be stopped
If I put on rubber slipers then the current not detected by tester

Will this damage my STB in future or even my 2yrs old 29"LG Flatron TV in any ways??

Thanks for your feedback and share your experince with BIG TV. Well I had no issue with my Onida CRT TV. Well I thing expert person will give you better answer.

first this small current will damage anything dont worry.
That is a common security feature that comes in all the tvs now. It saves TV from lightening during rains which can come through cable or antenna to tv. If any other equipment connected to tv has earthing(third pin in the plug) then the lightening current will pass through it. Big tv has 3 pin adapter but the earthing wire is not directly connected to the metal of stb. So during lightening your tv will be safe but cant guarantee stb or other things will be safe as high voltage current passes.
But you could get it rectified.
I had same issue with my samsung tv. Shock was coming to every device like stb , dvd player, home theatre. So i called the service centre. First the technician was not doing it, he was saying its for good of the tv. I asked will you take guarantee of other devices connected. Then he corrected it. Its just a 5 min work, he has to remove one capacitor only

even i also got late connection because so much demand and the field engineer told me that in a single day they got order for 400 connections and he mentioned ur around 80th customer and he also told that they are working hard untill 10pm/day and now webworld had stopped selling new connections untill sold ones installed

Dear Amit,

I want to share the good news that my installation was done yesterday night around 7.30 p.m. I have to tell you what happened in the previous day. I went to the shop, where i bought the STB and shouted at the shop owner. The stunned shop owner gave me the contact number of service engineer. I called him up and asked him to install my connection at the earliest. He assured that he will do installation on Saturday evening. I got call from service engineer at 12 p.m. yesterday. He asked me to power cut schedules. I told him that routine powercut is between 12 p.m. and 2 p.m. He said he will come in the evening and install. Service Engineers (2 persons) came to my house at 5 p.m. and started the installation work. They finished the Installation work at 7 p.m. They said that activation will be done in 2 hours. But my connection was not activated till 1 p.m. today. In the meantime, i kept on checking my tv once in 15 minutes. The channels started appearing after 1 p.m . I am very happy now. I am getting almost all channels, except English blockbuster movies (Big TV's) channels, which still shows that i need to subscribe to these services. Surprisingly i got the channels without using the recharge cards. But service engineer told me that the channels will go blank in another 2 to 3 days. Then i will have to contact 1800 200 9001 and use the recharge coupon to get the channels. I am now very happy person.

OK....So enjoy your Big TV connection now. See as I said, the issue is only with installation. After that, you can be tension free and can stay away from any worries...!!

Thanks for your feedback and glad to see your connection is now started.

English Movie channels are blocked for all so no need to worry about it.
Also you channels will start for more days then you need to Activate packages from CC but I guess you not need to worry about it since many connection is activated from installation departments without those recharge Cards.

Do put it safely because it may need in future.

Atlast you are happy.. But they really made you made for long time for the Activation when it could have happend by 7.30pm itself yesterday..
