They would not install unless we provided them filled Customer Acquisition Form with Photograph and Signature, Photocopy of Identity and Address Proof.

Once the installation completed, they updated the STB software and called up Customer Care to provide my Smart Card ID and RCV PINs.

Some of my friends in Bangalore are claiming that they are getting all the channels (even the ones they did not subscribe to) without ever using the RCVs. What's up?

Well sometimes they already activated your box without pins and I am sure they will never be able to use it.

Also sometimes STB will shows same message which you are getting to subscribe the channel, then they need to use their pin.

Not much advantages. Both will see 12 months free only.Big Grin

Finally, the service was activated and I could see the broadcasts. It has taken a total of 60 hours from purchase to viewing. I do not get any of their cinema channels but I get other channels that was not in my package. Hmm! A total of 186 TV channels and 10 radio channels. I guess, once the billing starts, we will end up getting what we subscribed to.

SaveOnDish Community Forums and especially its administrator Dish has been a great help throughout the process. They did what the customer care should have done in the first place. Thank you very much.

Hey no problem and don't worry about those Cinema Channels. It will be open soon on your screen and I ensure you that you will see BIG TV more then 1 years since no billing system or user data has been done.Big Grin

You must be really lucky to get it after 60 hours atleast. For me, it has been close to 4 days (90+ hours) and still I am getting same answers. Got yet another complaint number from CC today morning. With the same utter irresponsibility and unaccountability to paid customers.

Same here...have booked my connection on Wednesday from rajajinagar web world ,Bangalore....i am calling them 3-4 times per day...the same old comments from them...its early phase..sorry for for inconvenience..i can understand your problem..blah..blah..blah..its 72 hrs already...yet no signs of things getting done....tomorrow is Sunday..and with festivals next week..looks like it will b done after next Wednesday..disappointed with BIG TV team.BangHeadBangHeadBangHead.

Well as he mention of men power shortage you might get connection late but your connection will be count from first day of using so nothing you lossing but this is a huge problems and so far these problems come from Karnataka state!

Do give complain number to your R World and ask who is responsible for this. I wish you will get your installtion by today.

If your connection not installed today then do PM me your Smart Card number along with your name so I can help you something to get your installation faster.Smile

The real taste of happiness in watching channels comes if there is delay like this Big Grin .. I think you will surely enjoy it for another week then will start feeling little bore.. not much.. but your interest will drop some 1%. That is common in all.......

BTW i am still waiting for the installation..... it has entered 3rd day today... i told them i dont need them to come and i will do it myself .. but they say why you want to take stress they will come and fix it Rolleyes until then i will Comp

Well they have no off day so they will work it for customers. Also we should understand that it happens when heavy bookings and less men power to complete orders.

Standard installtion tooks 1-3 hours means one person can handle only 10-12 connections per day.

Also I just inform you that when we take connection under Reliance PCO offer, our connection installed on 4th day even ISP is my friend. Normally it happens in 7 to 10 days that time when not much orders.
