Know the reason for no new channels

They are lot's of money to loss to show cricket & olymic but there is no profit from them.if they use money in dth serivices then we have a lot's of channels till date,but no new channels.

Yes and if they cut down price around 15 Lakh per year then they have more then 100 channels ready to pay since DD DTH is most viewed DTH service.

Yes, this is really not a nice step by Prasr Bharati. Instead of increasing price they should have lowered it down....so that they have more and more private players joining them.

The problem with Prasar Bharati people is that they are not abreast with technology. They do work in a monotonous fashion. They do not want to grow with time. With the TP they have right now, they can accomodate more channels than what they are showing now.

They are a Government body, they should always think about the benefit of the people. if they run the show in a proper manner, they will make huge profit. But as we know the situation inside, it is all corrupted. All the government babus want is just to fill their pockets, without efficiently delivering what is expected.

The prime example of this is the recent Olympic Coverage which we had on DD sports. "Pathetic coverage of Olympic" will be an understatement for this. They had 18 Live feeds with them, but a very unprofessional management. They should have also used DD News and DD national to show concurrent feeds when required. They never advertized it properly, and in the end were making huge losses.

I hope we have some good CEO for prasar bharati, if we really want to see DD DTH growing and giving some competition for private players.

Yes or even they should make DD DTH+ as semi Goverment service and bring some good peoples in prasar bharati so they can improve DTH and Channel quality.

I compleletly agree that with using those TP, they can add upto 75 channels without problems.

i think the problem with the tpdr. 11150 came due to effort to add more channels, but nothing resulted.
dont they have good technicians in this field, dish tv is increasing the no. of channels of their old tpdrs.
without interferring a single channel already part of that trpdr. they did not show any difficulty regarding this subject as i understood.

Not Prasar Bharathi, Most of the DTH Services are running Lost. but for Prasar Bharathi its a Service, For Private providers they aiming Profit.
