RE: MTNL launched IPTV in Mumbai
Thanks for the information.
I stay in Mumbai and I am aware that they have started IPTV. But I am not sure of their service. I know for the fact their phone service is pretty poor. So how they will manage IPTV is lot to be desired. And I dont think the channel list that you have is updated one. Because you are not allowed to relay channels such as Al-Jazeera, PRT international as per TRAI order. Doesn't this applies to IPTV as well?? |

RE: MTNL launched IPTV in Mumbai
I think this list is updated one because it was added 2-3 weeks back. May be IPTV can show those channels.

RE: MTNL launched IPTV in Mumbai
If the list is updated then they surely are showing some niche channels. My cable operator used to show some of the channels mentioned on the list like the Geo News, Sindhi Tv, Al-Jazeers but after the TRAI downlinking guidelines they were banned.
We need to get this confirmed somehow. I wonder what the following channels would be about.... FE TV FCN TV PTC News KOOK TV APNA channel TGN VIBE MTV Delhi?? NOW (something base on technlogy I guess) Hooe Channel Jhankaar movies Rest all are known ones |

RE: MTNL launched IPTV in Mumbai
KOOK TV, APNA channel, TGN, VIBE & Trt int are FTA channels & you can watch them via Thaicom 5 satellite. (You need a 6 Ft dish since they are C band channels)
NOW, Al-Jazeera, TV5 monde are available FTA on Asiasat 3S. (again C band) |
