New Software upgrade for SAMSUNG STBs!

if your SD stb is a SAMSUNG make,upgrade it ritenow! New Software downloading is currently available now on over to air.
Download procedure ;
go to main menu>
select advanced actions>
enter '0000' as password>
select software upgrade>
accept new version thats all.
pls note that dis software upgrade is only for SAMSUNG make STBs'
(if smartcard is visible outside then your stb is samsung make)
new software is good one,its very userfriendy than the older version!
pls POST here your opinion on the new version.

yeah i have updated the software...totally colours are changed in menu and textboxes .....

clarity is increased compare to old software...its rocking....

Superb s/w upate..i got it last nite..
the colrs of the text &menus got changed to more sleeker looks.
In my opinion channel navigation became even more faster &pic clarity got improved.
Thr is also one feature added of sorting channels by name .
Plus whn we navigate between channels it has become more user frienly.
Like whn we want to get 202 for eg immeiately after we press 2 a dropown menu of all channels starting with 2 appears &its lot easier to navigate to tht channel.
But after the upgrae whnever the stb starts it starts with channel 001(Info Channel) regardless whr it has been offed last.
PLus the info channel seems to be updated.

Can i replace my Homecast stb with this samsung STB....

my smasung stb got composite &component out.
But other stbs may hv s-video,just check with ur dealer.
An they can easily exchange ur ol box with a new one.
if u know the dealer its very easy then.Just try.

The colors look rich and sophisticated ink blue .The design is changed ,Disec option came ,Edit Lnb setting is there But no Add Transponder option
I believe all the Dth operator are pulling up there socks as govt is passing law of interportiblity
