Opp leader questions deal with Zee
KOLKATA, Aug 1: Mr Partha Chattopadhyay, leader of the Opposition, today demanded clarification from the chief minister during the Assembly session regarding the state government’s decision to hand over more than 200 cottah of land comprising of Technician Studios I&II, adjoining vacant land on Prince Anwar Shah Road and existing building of Sangeet Kala Academy.
Mr Chattopadhyay said that the state government again has decided to give up more than 200 cottah of land to a private body without going through proper bidding. The matter was discussed at the Cabinet meeting on 29 July and was approved by the ministers.
