I went to my friends home today and i was shocked to see many pay channels are coming in Cable tv . Being a CAS area pay channels should never come in Cable tv.. Some of the pay channels that are coming in Cable tv in my friends home are:

World Movies.
NDTV gOODtimes
NDTV imagine
9x
Sahara One
Hbo
Sony TV
Ten Sports
Zee TV
Bindass

Well I think Customer have option to use CAS service or Cable service as both Delhi and Mumbai people watch CAS and Cable service.

Well i am saying that my friend is having cable tv in chennai(CAS area) for just 75 rs per month... Is this a crime done by the cable operators??

No Crime. Even WWIL also running Cable in Mumbai despite of CAS Area.

Well i will shift to cable but the major disadvantage is bad quality so i have to stick with DTH.

I still say DTH is best way to watch channels.

For Better quality ask your cable operator to provide Set Top Box. You will get better quality & quantity of channels like in DTH. Its always cheaper when you go for Cable TV service.

Please note that CAS is nothing but Cable TV. Only thing that in CAS area you use SET TOP BOX to view the desired channels.Thats why it is called as CONDITIONAL ACCESS SYSTEM (CAS). Signal in CAS area comes thru cable only.
