SD must improve Basepack.

SD'should think to improve basepack first!
whether it thamil or thelug,what may be the Bpack,everyone as he is a SD user from south is smissing some leading tv channels in their own languange alone.
in thamil for instance zeethamizh'or isaiaruvi which other dth providers giving in their basepack and not seen yet on SD.
these SDpeople think let their custmer may watch on tv what they give..

its full of fta channels.....no use ....all add on channels are very costly..........compare to other dth's also...

They are Improving HDTV services who are few but ignoring DTH viewers who are many,every month Sun tv launches it's movies but the same interest is not there in launching channels,There own network has 30 -40 channels which are not repeated and regional wise.one programme/serial will be repeated in all southern languages and in all channels,Instead of 5 regional cartoon channels they can show one discovery/cartoon network etc.i don't know how many are using radio channels ,due to radio channels how many tv channels are getting missed,there some channels like baby tv,fashion,care tv ,shakti tv etc which can be put in a separate plan and can use the space for effective channels.

I think the Base Pack is good because you get the following :

1. Tamil Channels ----> Zee tamil is not so good so don't worry about it
2. Infotainment -----> You get Nat Geo wild which shows every program telecast on Discovery , National Geographic Channel and Animal Planet
3. Sitcoms : you have fox television and fox crime
4. News : have NDTV 24*7 , NDTV Profit , ET Now , UTV Bloom-berg and BBC World News.
5. Movies : have UTV Bindass , UTV Action , UTV World movies And WB ......

Only thing left out is sports and cartoon and you can subscribe using add on packs but sports channels are very costly.

So , i'm afraid Sun Direct can do no better than this ...... This is the best they can do .......... If not for the exorbitant pricing of the add on packs i would have picked Sun Direct Instead of Dish TV.......

SD is good for regional languages only(especially in TN rural areas who watch only tamil channels). They will never improve the base pack coz TN is dominated by SUN TV

I think their add ons are the costliest among the DTH industry. If one opt for some important channels in add ons it will touch Rs. 500/- per month.

Even they have pan india service, hope they have maximum subscriptions in South india.
