Zoom, the Bollywood channel from the Times Group, is on a revamp mode. The channel will launch a slew of six shows at prime time, beginning this September.
“Audiences which consume Bollywood have increased. Our new offerings are an attempt to cater to them,” says Zoom CEO Suresh Bala.
The flagship show among all these offerings is Idea Bollywood Club. The reality show, produced by Optymistix, aims at depicting real stories of strugglers who want to make it big in Bollywood.

The half-hour daily show will kick off on 1 September at 8 pm.

“Idea Bollywood Club is a show with a difference and suits the requirement of our channel and has a lot of Bollywood element in it,” explains Zoom business head MK Anand.

Each episode will have a group of strugglers who will meet a renowned Bollywood personality. Participants will be asked the Bollywood personality.

"This show aims to nurture the talent India possesses and provide a stepping stone to stardom. Our shows will bring Bollywood closer to viewers,” adds Anand.

The other shows are second season of Just Talk, Planet Bollywood, Bollywood Biographies, Page3Xtreme and Bollywood Case Files.

Planet Bollywood will start on 1 September at 7:30 pm. The show will give a daily dose of Bollywood news, views, star-studded events, discussions and special contests.

In its second season, Just Talk will kick off on 19 September at 7:30 pm. The weekly show will air every Friday.

Bollywood Biographies will premiere on 22 September at 8:30 pm and will air every Monday. The show will delve deep into the lives of big movie stars when they are not facing cameras.

The show will be replaced by Bollywood Case Files on 20 October. It will feature some of the celebrity scandals.

The other show called Page3Xtreme will also kick off sometime in September. It will capture the glamour, glitz, and controversies on Bollywood parties which will analysed by Bombay Times columnist Simi Chandoke.
