Dish and the other guys might do the Channels and other stuff ,but me being an IT guy will do stuff related to hardware and software ......My first step towards doing so will be and in depth review of the BIG TV software......

MODEL 1 -Hyundai....

Software Version-1.7.2

Bugs:-
The Home ,Guide and Big keys all open the same thing the Home menu which incidentally doesn have the Search and Cinema feature yet.

The EPG doesnt work it does not show the programs for even one day but if u press the i key u can get info of current program, it might get corrected after an update to the Nagraguide version...cuz its has been stated in the user guide book to support 7 days...so might be a future version or a version avail to Reliance ppl...

The Cinema key takes us to the preview channel 101 whereas it should take as to the cinema section but as stated above its not yet available so it will work in a future update.....

Only 2 channels have interactive menu available no 991 and 101......

Select key doesnt directly go to the select screen it goes to the Home screen highlighting the select option...

The Colour(Red,Green,Yellow,Blue) keys dont work..will be working in future update....

The Big key still doesnt show the account info etc ..should do dat in a future update....

The Mini Guide is freakin slow and hangs most of the time and sometimes channel changing takes lot of time ....and the screen goes blue ..with only the Big Tv logo to be seen..

The search feature is a good feature but its still not available,it has various criteria to search from like date,timetable,category,director,actor,title,keyword etc...

The parental control in settings has pay tv option missing..it is good for blocking amount of rs or time to view ppv channels...


Tips and Tricks:

To factory Reset the STB press power on remote and putt STB in standby mode and then press red button until all three lights in the STB blink and leave the red button ...reset will start now...
This reset is particularly useful durind software update failure....cuz if ur data gets corrupted due to power failure u can use the pre boot forced software update by pressing the up and menu key on the STB simultaneously and then pressing ok to intiate graphical update sequence ...after dat is done ur data is still corrupted and the STB will start and go in standby automatically its basically a failed boot cycle...due to the corrupted data but can be fixed by usin the remote factory reset ...it should solve the corrupt software problems......


If u press the i key u guys might note that the big tv logo disappears ....I think its mainly done through software big tv hasnt yet implemented the logo in the signals....

Well I agree with you that whatever you press it takes to Main Menu Only Interactive button working well along with Cinema button. For search option we need to wait next version 2.01 so we have that option.

Well this is a bugs and it happens many times. But BIGTV Showing 2 days EPG not 7 days as they mention. Sometimes it goes no information available due to some changes but in Zapper we always have 2 program information. They need to work on this.

Well it is because 101 is priview channel and movie channels started from 101.

Well I never checked it on 101 so I need to check today. I seen on 991. In past they have one more interactive service iNews with CNN IBN but removed itt.

It is must needed for us who have PCO and Employee offer connection, I had no idea when my connection was expire as I used 22 days extra then my offer. At the moment no needed for new connection.

Rest of things is wired and need to work in next 2.01 version.

I got may Big TV installation yesterday for mutiple tv's , earlier i used to get the channel category list when i pressed left navigation button and i used to get channel category list like entertainment ,cinema, regional , news , sports .......and so on , but now i am not getting that categories , now its displaying only " Tv channels " and "Radio channels " .......Is it any software problem !!! How can can i fix it ???

No it is not software problem but it is just bugs only. YOu need to do Channel Scan and then restart it so it will come automatically. Otherwise you need to do Factory reset or do Software updates.
