SunDirect receiver - diseqc port
dears,

Seeking help to solve diseqc related issue with my SunDTH receiver (Samsung mode).

Recently I moved to a new flat where the landlord had the pre-installed DISH's (3 to 4) connected to a diseqc switch (on roof top) and then wired to all apartments in the building. One of the dish is positioned for SUN DIRECT.

My problem is that the SUN Direct receiver (Samsung) don't detect the diseqc OR do have an option for me to assign the correct port within the receiver.

I have seen this feature on all other standard receivers. In fact, i did connected my other generic receiver (technosat) and once selected the correct diseqc port, on search...it simply listed all the SUN direct channels with $ sign ( as paid channels).

Can i please request for your suggestions to solve this problem?

regards

Aftr dowloading new version software ente menu and select advanced actions then select home transponder setting( pincode is'0000') ther u wll see position setting A' or B'. Select any of them.

RE: SunDirect receiver - diseqc port
thanks Sybis. I will try that and update the outcome.

Btwn, my building diseqc is 4 port (A,B,C,D) and to my understanding dish 'positioned' for SUN direct is connected to port 'D'. In that case, will the advised solution be helpful? (please do note that, i won't be given a permission by building owner to access the diseqc switch to swap ports from 'D' to A or B)

regards

RE: SunDirect receiver - diseqc port
Disec is used for connecting more than 2 lnb to a single reciever .You cannot connect more than one reciever to a single lnb you will .If you connect it H and V polarity cannot be watched simaltaniously in 2 tvs due to voltage difference

RE: SunDirect receiver - diseqc port
dear in_msz,

Please note that I am not trying to connect multiple receivers.

All I want is to have an option in SAMSUNG STB to select diseqc port 'D' (as the SUN dish is connected to diseqc port 'D' in my apartment building). I am also NOT interested to try using SAMSUNG STB for any other FTA channels. Below are the options given to me by my new apartment owners for TV channels!!

OPTION-1
Connect any generic receiver to wall socket, chose diseqc port A for scan for all hotbird channels

OPTION-2
Connect SUN DTH receiver and choose disceqc port D for sun direct channels

As I am a SUN DTH subscriber for past 1 year, I want to make the option-2 work.

regards

Are you the only one living in that building, If not bad luck, DiseqC standard does not support multiple receivers, If you are the only person with a reciever good , Just choose the appropriate Diseqc port, If there is wiring for multiple receivers then iT's not Diseqc, Is it possible that there is another switch which may be a multiswitch and connected the output of four such switches to one Diseqc for every tenant, Well a rare case, but not impossible , So find out what it is , The exact switch and post here please,
