SUNDTH - The Best and the Worst

This is to bring to notice for the existing and new customers who are waiting eagerly for the overall launch of Sundth as well as Mpeg4 technology boxes..

The Boxes provided by Sundth are not capable of running for atleast 2 months properly. Lot of boxes are going dead. Either they give no signal, or some dont respond to any options.Some STB failed to dowload the software and hence the stb fails.

I think Sundth has made wrong decision to launch its services without testing STB.. Even Bigtv is not launching due to these problems.. so now the question comes " are the mpeg 4 stb not capable of working in india".. Just a mere visit to any dealer / distributor or a godown of sundth will give you the idea of the angry customers and the dead boxes. You can see customers carrying Sundth STB along with them.. (dont think it is marketing but they are carrying the dead / faulty stb)

i having seen all the STB will rate them as following

TS STB only 5% or less problem (mpeg2)
Dishtv STB 5% to 10%. (mpeg2)
Sun Dth STB above 10% (mpeg4).


I am very happy that bigtv is delaying its launch b;coz of technical problems.. lets hope they dont come like Sundth..


Only Best thing about Sundth is it is Cheap and the monthly cost is just 75rs.But then the headache of the problems is lot more than that.

Good info ... They are providing waste Stb . My friend also suffered from this  within one month of buying Sun DTH.

One major problems of MPEG4 STB is costing and these two orders from cheap company so they face problems when they updates software. If they will provide only channel option then STB will work perfect but because of Value Added Service, they have problems and they need to work on.

Ya even i accept it.But i want to remind u one thing unlike in Dish tv and Tata sky the STB doesn't belonged to us.If there is any problem in STB then the dealer / distributor should provide free stb to the customers.In case if there is any problem with the STB both Dish and Tata sky charges around 300-500 rupees.But sun direct is not charging even a single penny from its customers.

I am not supporting sun direct.Even i criticised them for not launching ESS and other interactive services.
