TATA SKY IN RIYADH-SAUDI ARABIA

Dear Friends!

Please advice!

I am using tata sky in riyadh saudi arabia. i am using 2.5m hunter dish and unvivarsal band lnb, durign day time most of channels are missing! its started coming after 5 o'clock noon....please advice me what i have to do to correct this problem...

when i checked signal strenght and quality @roof at around 6:30pm
it was like Signal strenght = 100% & signal quality=67% but when i m checking this in my room signal strenght coming around 82% and quality between 20-25% only....to solve this i use line amplifier but no benifit at all....

please help me!

May be your cable from the LNB to the TATASKY STB must be too old or bad quality. Just replace it and see. This is just a idea.

When I was at Hofuf Saudi Arabia it happened me
Actually when I was searching the signals near dish I got the all the channels after arranged cables and everything at my room few channels missing like HBO some Zee channels. But all other channels ok.

pls make sure your dish and room distance near or far.


Now I am in Qatar I heard that here Tata sky signals available 165 cm dish.
Problem is 165 cm (single piece dish) price is very very high un believable 700 Qatar riyal.
In Saudi Arabia 195cm Hunter dish price is 225 Saudi riyal only .
Still I am thinking about installations because of price.

People related to dish installation business are getting clever now a days as many people bringing tata sky or dish tv abroad....the dishes like 165cm to 240cm were not required was quite cheaper earliar but now its in demand so they are asking rates like hell....even here in riyadh also 240cm dish price is ranging between 350-600 SR....anyway the distance between my room and roof is approx. around 20 meters....i arrange one technician 2day he said he will solve my problem...lets see if he can do some magic or not...thanks for all the members for their kind consideration and reply for all others who's suffering from some sort of dish problem

Dear Iftikhar

Where is your location? are u in riyadh? if so check my thread "Best Tata Sky Technician in riyah" and if u r not in riyadh do one small excercise.....the weakest signal in riyadh and near by area is for Ten sports....try align your dish to get as much singals as u can get to ten sports...(I am getting max. of 22% signal for ten sports and now for few hours in day time i m not get ten sports only, but other channels are okay) so i hope that u can solve your problem...but keep in mind that if u r getting 20% and to get 22% u have to spend atleast aroudn 2 hours to get it coz its coming on very minor alignment may be just 3-5mm difference...so good luck to you!

Thanks for kind response, I do stay in Riyadh (Batha), I am using 3m dish but its bit old. Any how let me try tonight I hope to get all the channels.
