Ten Sports to share ODI cricket feed with Doordarshan

The state-ownded broadcaster Doordarshan has been allowed by the Delhi High Court to book advertisements for the two one-day cricket matches between India and Sri Lanka.
DD will share the revenue generated from these advertisements in the proportion of 75:25 with the Ten Sports, the official broadcaster of the series.

Ten Sports will receive three-fourth share of the revenue.

This arrangement was approved by the Court as Ten Sports today agreed to share the live feed of the remaining two one-day international cricket matches between India and Sri Lanka with the public broadcaster. The private channel gave this undertaking to the bench of Justice Manmohan Sarin and Justice Veena Birbal.

"We are happy to know that Ten Sports would share signal to enable live telecast of Indo-Sri Lanka ODI's matches which are to be played today and on August 29," the Bench said after recording the undertaking given by Ten Sports.

The Court also took strong exception to the Centre for its delay in issuance of showcause notice to Ten Sports for sharing the feed. As per the law, private broadcasters are bound to share feed with DD for important sports events involving Indian teams.
