Trai directs Star Den to modify pricing of 3 channels

The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (Trai) has directed Star Den Media Services to modify the bouquet and a la carte rates for CNBC-TV18, CNN-IBN and CNBC Awaaz. The bouquet includes free-to-air channel IBN7.

Star Den has increased the a la carte rates of CNBC-TV18 to Rs 8.50 (from specified rate of Rs 7.50), CNN-IBN to Rs 5 (from Rs 2), and CNBC Awaaz to 4.50 (from Rs 3.50). It has applied these rates to the bouquet pricing as well.

Somthing good for Dish TV viewers.

If we count all price then it will be 18Rs for a la carte but it must be lower then that in terms of package.

Then why Dish Tv charging Rs 25.

Yes its good news for us. But they have also said that IBN7 is an FTA ch, which means that Star Den must provide this ch to Dish TV at no extra cost. So is IBN7 soon on the cards....???

Well but Dish Tv charge Carrige fees and I don't think IBN7 will pay them such a big amount.
