What procedure do DTH providers follow??

Does anybody know what procedures do the DTH providers follow to bring certain channel on their platform???

let us be aware of what happens in the back ground before a channel is brought on DTH platform.


lets make Dish TV aware of what they should do!!!

Well first they need to check space avaiable to add new channels. Then they need to check Peopel's demands and other DTH's channels offering. Then they need to make contarcts with Brodcaster and sumbit copy to TRAI and I&B. Then channel start transmission on DTH.

Channel Popularity and Competition from other DTH providers are the only criteria for adding new channels.

Ex:

1) SUN Channels are very popular in Southern States. Tatasky Started these channels as a bouque. DishTV followed the Same later, even though they had exclusive rights from SUN TV.

2) Tatasky Started TV9 News Channels(Telugu and Kannada), later DishTV added.

3) Earlier NDTV Profit, Times Now, V-Channel, Zoom were not available for available for the Package of Rs. 300. But now they're available at the same rate, just b'cos competitors are giving them.
