I got Dish TV under set top box free scheme, but now its rainy season and i find a lot of times singnal problem is it common to all users?

I'll begin with my review.

I bought DishTV back in early or mid 2003 I believe. It was the only DTH service provider back then, so there was no real option for me. At that time we had to pay a lot to get channels since Dish TV was only starting out, and trust me a good lot in my family rioted at the idea of having Dish TV at home since they thought Cable was better since it was cheaper.

But we stuck with Dish TV since at that time it cost a solid Rs 8500/-. The picture quality was MUCH better from the conventional cable and the sound quality was just as good, after some time Radio Channels and many more video channels were added. We were happy with Dish TV.

During all this time too, Dish TV has not disappointed us, ever. We never have any problems viewing all the channels, except in the rains, which is probably the only thing I'd whine about personally, when there's rain, there's no signal. But I guess its inevitable until and unless we get a new type of Dish thats strong enough to stand by the showers.

Online Renewal has also made our lives easier, now instead of going to the dealer and paying him, we could just log on to our account on DishTVIndia.in and pay them.

So yeah overall it has been a pleasant experience, of course Dish TV did have its downs, it was too costly to start off. But over time they became cheaper. Then, a lot of channels weren't there, but were added. Even now, there are some channels that still should be added. We've not lost hope on Dear old DishTV yet though!

A lot of people have problems with DishTV, and I firmly believe it is DishTV's responsibility to keep its clients happy. But then there's another thing, people everywhere are not the same, 70% of times the complaints are aroused due to negligence of dealers in the particular area. Don't you just hate that? Stupid people ruining a company's rep, however it still is DishTV's responsibility and there's no doubt about that.

rain outage is a big problem around the world with every DTH company. But if ur dish is properly installed with good signal quality then you will face this problem for very short time.

Price of packages : 8 out of 10

Channel addition : 5 out of 10

Picture quality : 6 out of 10

Audio quality : 6 out of 10

Customer care : 3 out of 10

Active services : 7 out of 10

So my Overall Rating is : 5.5 out of 10

Well that was a very unbaised, correct and true review of Dish TV. Except package pricing and certain active services, they are not good in any other fields..!

sorry to inturp you all but dish tv costumer care are not worst but the problem is you are not going with the proper chanell... dish tv is tiried of their few distributors who claims themself the onlyone. (as dish was the only option for the costumer then).. but now company is improving there selves as they know there is a tough comptetion ahead of them.

Well we are talking of the CC you come across when you call their service nos. which are 1860-180-3474 or 6001-3474. Speaking to the reps there is like.....!!

WHY NEO SPORTS,COLORS,UTV GROUP NOT AVAILABLE ON DISHTV

My VC no. is xxxxxxxxxxx. I honestly feel that I have wasted money on purchase of Dish TV. I have paid subscription for one year. But we are not able to enjoy as the reception is very poor. The picture is not clearly visible. Occassionally, it is clear, but we do not know when the clear picture will come. Honestly, I feel cheated. I have called up over phone on several occassion but only assurance is received and not the clear reception. The options left are to go to counsumer court and to request you to buy back the dish tv or return my balance monthly subscriptions paid in advance so that I can minimise my loss. Things can be so bad, I had never imagined.
