The everlasting wait for the DishTV upgrade
Posted by Mr. Channel under DishTV
Ever since DishTV announced all the new features and promised to give them to its subscribers through updates, I have been waiting for it to happen.
The new version would boast of things like Dish Active, which is a service from which you can view a cricket match from whatever camera you like, then there are all these features like Parental locking, event reminding, favorites sorting and much more.
It was recognized that the update would happen on 12th September, at the start of the Cricket Tri Series between West Indies, India and Australia, it didn’t happen though, still waiting.

January 23rd, 2007 at 12:26 am The DishTV customer support recently informed me that the upgrade is only available in a particular model of Zenega STB, and they could not develop an upgrade for other STBs. Which means those lucky customers who have purchased Zenega STBs, not as a matter of choice but as an accident, are enjoying the benefits of the software upgrade which are denied to other customers.
April 5th, 2007 at 2:10 pm Hi Guys! just go to your STB settings through main menu and hit the reset to factory settings in options. you will find the new software being installed in your STB. Though the new software has taken off some features of dishtv, it has improved other features to very good extent. i liked the update. it was very very good. fantastic to experience. I am only concerned about the time dishtv asks to renewe the package, it has been 2 yrs i am using dishtv, every time they ask me to upgrade it a month before the due date. it is very hard to understand the cc of dishtv. May be dish tv is thinking that people don hae another choice. we are going to get other choices. still dish tv has to get the gemini package of Sun tv for leading the market to DTH. ab har ghar mey dish.
